The Barn, formally known as The MacKenzie Centre, is - despite its somewhat unassuming appearance - a much used and loved destination for agility teams across Nova Scotia and the Maritimes.

Agility, formally known as The Best Dog Sport (Come at me, flyball nerds!!) involves a human and dog running in seamless joyful harmony around a course of numbered obstacles and jumps attempting through physical and verbal cues to complete the course under a certain time and without any faults. It is a rewarding, entertaining and highly addictive enterprise that everyone enjoys without ever stomping their feet or pulling their hair out. Ever.

Who are we?

We are a membership-based, non-profit, lively, fun group of people who are deeply committed to the Oxford comma, and dog sports. For an annual fee, members enjoy 24/7 drop-in access to the MacKenzie Centre to train with their dogs along with nearly unrestricted rental and priority access to UDSC events.
Non-members can rent the centre on a private basis for an hourly fee or on a commercial basis for a day rate (please see our Events page for details!)
UDSC also hosts three to four competitive events each year in the name of supporting and developing competitors, trial hosts and managers, and judges.
